My favorite Georgian sketch in the International Art Project "BRIDGE-4"

13.01.2022

My favorite Georgian sketch "Twilight in my yard" participates in the exhibition "BRIDGE-4" in the exhibition hall "Tushino". While I was working, the painting was brought to the exhibition, and my dear friends took photos from the opening of the exhibition.

The international art project "Bridge-4" is held in the Tushino Art Gallery from January 13 to 23, 2022, with the support of the Tushino Artists Association and the Association of Russian Artists of Estonia with the support of the Estonian Embassy in Moscow.

I called it "Twilight in my yard" because this yard was mine for 5 whole days this September - with cats rushing to me in the morning through wooden shutters, garlands of linen, a huge cherry tree in the yard, creaking floorboards of the inner wooden gallery and balconies, with "hello, hello!" shouting Georgian to me from the neighboring house through the street 1.5 m from my kitchen window in a response to my singing, with people passing along this street at arm's length from my window, with the bell ringing of Sioni Cathedral, with a magical view of my Georgian courtyard, the roof of the cathedral, the stars and the fortress of Narikala. Where you can run in the morning to the liturgy at Sioni Cathedral and happily listen the church Georgian singing! To dream about Georgia for so many years and finally find out how beautiful it is. This is not just a sketch, this is my memory, my long heart memory. Let God protect Georgia and our peoples.
