Opening of a personal exhibition in the House-Museum of Aksakov in Ufa

07.07.2020

On July 7, 2020, the opening of the personal exhibition of Natalya Shomovskaya "Aksakov places" took place in the House-Museum of S.T. Aksakov in Ufa. The exhibition will last until mid-August.

The exhibition is organized according to the chronological principle. The exhibition opens with the Lavra cycle - works from the Trinity-Sergius Lavra, because the name of the writer was given in honor of St. Sergy Radonezhsky. Then there are Bashkir landscapes where Sergey Aksakov spent his childhood. In the next Kazan cycle, you can see architectural and interior sketches and paintings - University, the Peter and Paul Church, Virgin monastery, Church of St. Barbara - all those places where there was Sergey Aksakov with his parents. The next big Abramtsevo cycle opens with graphic works, that represent the writer's passion for fishing. Summer and autumn sketches and paintings reveal the beauty of the homestead and its nature, where Sergey Timofeyevich Aksakov spent his last years and where he wrote his works, that determined his literary fate. The exhibition ends with sketches from the Simonov monastery, where Aksakov was buried.

The Museum noted that the life and work of the writer in the exhibition format of paintings and sketches were illustrated so fully for the first time.

Many thanks to my parents Shomovsky Yury Sergeevich and Shomovskaya Angelina Mikhailovna, as well as to the curator of the exhibition, scientific worker of the Museum, Kuzina Galina Nikolaevna!
